INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT - COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES

Residents of The Bridge have access to a large array of tools to help them become successfully sober. Our trained staff work with residents to manage their anger or address their domestic violence issues. We help them establish a medical home and address basic health and wellness concerns. The Bridge also offers Family Care to help those in treatment build their relationships with family and support systems.

BUILDING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

Going from a life of addiction to one of sobriety requires more than sacrificing a drink or drug offer. For most, it means giving up an entire social network.

When Tom* decided to address his addiction, he came to Cornhusker Place. He went through the physical and mental anguish of detoxifying, the difficulty of facing a lifetime of poor choices, and the rigors of learning new preferences. And among those choices was one of the most difficult decisions he ever made: to eliminate the relationships that were harmful.

So when Tom went home, he changed his phone number. The house was quiet. And, when the silence became deafening, he remembered a valuable lesson from his time at Cornhusker Place. He remembered to reach out.

At Cornhusker Place Tom met other recovering addicts at his regular NA meetings. They discovered a new way to share good times listening to the musicians play at Recovery Jam, and how good it feels to laugh when friends sing “Soberoke.”

They discovered that, when you reach for healthy choices, life goes on.
